Jeanes Hospital Granted “A” Rating on Quality

Jeanes Hospital has received an “A” rating from Leapfrog, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing health care purchasers with hospital quality and safety data.

“At Jeanes Hospital, we make it our mission every day to ensure our patients receive care of the highest quality,” said Marc P. Hurowitz, DO, MBA, FAAFP, president and CEO of Jeanes Hospital. “This recognition from Leapfrog reinforces our team’s hard work and dedication to getting our patients the superior treatment and care they deserve.”

More than 1,800 hospitals annually complete the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, which collects safety, quality, and resource use information.

The Hospital Safety Score is a letter-grade rating of how well hospitals protect patients from accidents, injuries, harm, and errors, and the score is a composite made up of 30 different national patient safety measures. Jeanes Hospital’s “A” rating is the highest possible score and places Jeanes in the top 31 percent of rated hospitals.
