Electrophysiology

Learn more about the electrophysiology medical team.

If you have a difficult-to-diagnose or hard-to-treat heart condition, you may benefit from a full battery of electrophysiology (EP) studies. EP and clinical findings help the specialists a the Jeanes Heart Center assess your short- and long-term risks and propose the best therapy - whether that's education, lifestyle changes, drug therapy, a procedure such as ablation, device placement, surgery, or a combination approach.

If you have arrhythmia, a variety of specialized EP studies are offered at Jeanes. These include all the most sophisticated forms of EP cardiac mapping, 3-D diagnostics, intracardiac echocardiography, tilt table testing and wireless monitoring.

When needed, our team is also experienced in performing targeted interventions, including:

  • Cardioversions
  • Catheter ablations
  • Insertion of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs)
  • Lead extractions
