Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists at Jeanes Hospital provide complete inpatient and outpatient care for adults and pediatric patients. Patient and family education and training regarding rehabilitation strategies and recovery are part of our comprehensive care. We provide a customized evaluation and treatment plan to best serve every individual's specific needs.

Adult Services

Occupational Therapy (OT) helps people who are affected by a physical illness or injury regain independence and function in daily activities. These include eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming, as well as more complicated pursuits related to work, school, and managing a household. Some common conditions served by OT are:

  • Stroke/neuromuscular disease
  • Arthritis
  • Orthopaedic/hand therapy
  • Low vision
  • Cancer
  • Cardiac issues
  • Work-related injuries

Our Occupational Therapists are board certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and licensed through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
